Francis Todd Obituary

Francis Dale Todd, age 92, of Concordia, KS, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022, surrounded by family at his nephew, Dan (Cindy Koch’s) home.  He was born on January 22, 1930, in Yakima, WA to Rose Todd.

Francis was seven years old when he moved to Concordia, KS with his family.  At the age of ten, he moved to Abilene, KS where he lived and attended the St. Joseph Orphanage until he graduated from high school.  He then moved back to Concordia, KS and lived with his mother, Rose until her death.  Francis was never married and did not have any children.

Francis was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council and a 4th Degree Knight.  He worked with many farmers in the Concordia area and had a special relationship with Ronnie Dorman, whom he helped with cows and farm chores for 20 years.  Francis loved calving season and checking cows.  Francis loved when his family would come visit him.  One of his most famous sayings he was known for was “tell everybody hello” with that little grin on his face.  Francis was also known as “Toddy” or as he would laugh and say, “Hot Toddy”.  Francis was such a little guy with a big heart.  Francis loved spending time with his family and friends and had so much love for his family.  God put so much love into his little body and he shared this love with everyone around him.

Francis is preceded in death by his mother, Rose Todd; sister, Dorothy Koch; brother-in-law, Martin Koch; nephew, Mike Brown; and great nephews, Lance Koch and Justin Koch.  Francis is survived by his sister, Bernice Brown, Lawrence, KS; ten nieces and nephews; Dave (Karen) Koch, McKinny, TX, Dennis (Mary) Koch, Springhill, KS, Daryl Koch, Ozawkie, KS, Dean (Loretta) Koch, Clyde, KS, Darlene Wernette, Clay Center, KS, Danette Dutton, Hutchinson, KS, Dianne (Gary) Comstock, Topeka, KS, Dan (Cindy) Koch, Concordia, KS, Leann (J.D.)
